A 34-year-old man of foreign nationality, who had "hundreds of videos and images containing pornography of minors", was arrested in the Tavira area, announced the Judiciary Police (PJ) this Wednesday, December 14.
The detention took place "in the context of an investigation resulting from a communication from an international organization", says the PJ.
«After carrying out computer searches of the various equipment, hundreds of videos/images containing pornography of minors were identified, suspecting that part of this material may have been shared with third parties, not yet identified», he adds.
Several devices were seized, such as a computer, cell phones and several pen drives.
The detainee will be present, today, to the judicial authorities for the application of coercive measures.
