Faro promotes workshops on Community Financing for Culture

The Municipal Library of Faro will host, on the 3rd and 13th of January, two workshops to present European Union funding programs for the Cultural and Creative sector.

The first workshop will take place on the 3rd (Tuesday), with the presence of Tiago Prata (Presentation in Portuguese) and Marko Paunovic (Presentation in English) and will serve to present some funding programs and address the preparation of applications, while the The second is scheduled for the 13th (Friday), with the participation of Sara Machado from the Creative Europe Information Center in Portugal, who will speak about the European Financing Program for the Cultural and Creative Sector.

Often seen as a difficult puzzle to (dis)assemble, European funding for culture and the arts is an essential path for anyone looking to internationalize their work. In addition to presenting Creative Europe's funding lines, this workshop will work on practical aspects of applying for European funds, namely researching partnerships and how to work around the most common mistakes.

Both workshops are scheduled for 17 pm, in the auditorium of the Municipal Library of Faro.
