The Aurora by Vitor Veloso restaurant, in Loulé, has a new winter menu with comfort dishes, seasonal ingredients and locations.
In this menu, which covers ingredients from the Algarve mountains and Ria Formosa, Chef Vitor Veloso brings dishes designed for locals and tourists alike, such as Corvina Real (with spinach, stew sauce, smoked pork belly with shrimp broth rice ), Empty (with leek and shallot spread, parsnip puree and Portuguese steak sauce), Lamb Chops (with figs and roasted salsifi with rosemary, red curry sauce and oven-baked rice) or Glaceada Eggplant, a vegetarian dish.
For starters, the chef suggests Cod Language (with coriander cream and shavings of pata negra ham), Partridge and Clams (in the pan, with pickled carrots and shallots), Cured and Braised Horse Mackerel (with mussels, beurre blanc de goat butter, fermented cabbage and muxama) or Shallot and Leek Tart (with black garlic, pumpkin puree and sunflower seeds).
As for desserts, A Nossa Tarte de Maçã (with rosemary and muscat, pecan ice cream and praline) stands out.
The seasonal novelties do not end here and Aurora by Vitor Veloso now offers the Executive Menu at lunchtime, from Tuesday to Friday, consisting of Starter, Main Course and Coffee. The Executive Menu has new proposals every week and costs 19,50 euros.
The Aurora restaurant is located on Rua Dom Paio Peres Correia, in Loulé, and is open from Tuesday to Saturday, between 12h00 and 15h00 and 19h00 and 22h00.
