Portimonense lost 1-2 against Sporting de Braga, in a game of the 13th round of the I Football League, played this Sunday, November 13, in Portimão. The Algarve were winning, allowed the turnaround and missed a penalty in the last minutes.

After the victory at Gil Vicente, on the last round, Paulo Sérgio's men wanted to continue that triumph.

But the truth is that the Algarve did not enter the field well.

Braga were, during the first 30 minutes, much superior to a Portimonense without ideas, but who had a great Nakamura.

The goalkeeper saved several of Braga's opportunities and saw the Algarve team take the lead, in the 40th minute.

Ouattara made a first header, saved by Matheus, but, in the rebound, he shot to count.

Paulo Sérgio's men entered the second half winning, but, in the 65th minute, Iuri Medeiros re-established the equal penalty.

The last minutes of the match were very emotional. At 83′, Braga took the lead for the first time, thanks to a goal by Vitinha. The Portuguese striker, at close range, only had to touch, after a first shot by Al Musrati.

Already in stoppage time, referee Tiago Martins signaled a penalty for Portimonense and expelled Paulo Oliveira (for accumulating yellow cards) and Tormena (for protests), both from Braga.

Called to convert, Paulo Estrela shot over the top: Portimonense lost 1-2 and let the advantage he had achieved in the first half slip away.

The Algarve will stop at the World Cup in 7th place, with 19 points won.
