Loulé: Exhibition of nativity scenes shows the work of artisans

“O Menino Deus” opens this Saturday at Palácio Gama Lobo

The exhibition of nativity scenes “O Menino Deus”, by the ceramists Delfim Manuel and Margarida Palma Gomes, will open this Saturday, November 19, at 17 pm, at Palácio Gama Lobo, in Loulé.

In the pieces on display, Delfim Manuel follows a more classical language, while Margarida Palma Gomes uses a contemporary approach, full of references and humour.

Delfim Manuel was born in Vila Nova de Famalicão and his first contact with clay happened when he was still young. The artist is part of handicraft collections and his pieces are frequently featured in individual and collective exhibitions all over the country.

Born in Silves, Margarida Palma Gomes is a reference in Algarve ceramics. Her work stands out for its colorful and enchanted vision of the themes she portrays with creativity and humor. The artist has won awards at a regional level and participated in exhibitions and competitions at a national level, and her nativity scenes are highly appreciated by collectors.

The exhibition will be open to the public until the 6th of January, from 9:00 am to 17:00 pm, Monday to Friday, and from 9:00 am to 13:00 pm, on Saturdays. Admission is free.
