The presentation of the documentary “Gentes do Cabo, Faroin Vila do Bispo and Cape São Vicente” will take place on Sunday, November 27th, at 16 pm, in the auditorium of Fortaleza de Sagres, as part of the DiVaM programme.
This is a work dedicated to the memory and people of the territory of Vila do Bispo, which crosses and intersects facts, stories and experiences of the faroleiros and their families, explains the Algarve Regional Directorate of Culture.
The documentary, by Patrícia Leal and Vera Abreu, illustrates the particularities of the lives of faroleiros, a demanding profession and itinerant way of life, unknown by many, as well as the stories of many nights on the lookout.
The project is promoted by Avonde, Associação Cultural, with the support of DiVaM, one of the areas of PACAA – Cultural Action Support Program of the Regional Directorate of Culture of the Algarve.
