Farense wins Penafiel and remains in 2nd place in the II League

Algarve team is seven points behind Moreirense

Farense beat FC Penafiel 2-0 this Saturday, November 5th, thus remaining in 2nd place in the II Liga, with 24 points. 

The game took place at Estádio Municipal 25 de Abril, in Penafiel, and had a goalless first half, but in which the home team prevailed.

In the second half, at 50 minutes, the first goal of the match came, scored by the Algarve's Abner, who ended up being considered the man of the match. At 90+5 it is Marco Matias who gives the farense one more goal.

With this result, Farense remains in 2nd place, with 24 points, just seven behind the leader Moreirense. The table follows Benfica B and Porto B, both with 19 points, and Leixões, with 18.

The Algarve team's next game is scheduled for Wednesday, November 9, against Leixões.
