O The new Exhibition Center of the Fortress of Sagres, dedicated to the Discoveries and how they related to the headland, opens next Sunday, November 13, at 11:00 am.
The opening session, which will not be attended by the Minister of Culture, or any other government official, will be chaired by Adriana Nogueira, regional director of Culture in the Algarve, and Luciano Rafael, director of the Fortaleza de Sagres.
In addition to the Exhibition Centre, the temporary exhibition «Invisible Territories», by the plastic artist Manuel Baptista, will be inaugurated.
The new structure, which has been ready for some time, has already had other official opening dates, for which the presence of ministers was planned, but they were always postponed. The last one had been October 4th, as you can read here🇧🇷 Next Sunday, there will be only one «opening session», so that the Exhibition Center can begin to receive visitors, as early as Monday, the 14th.
