Dog isolated in a salt marsh area on the Arade river rescued by the Maritime Police

The dog had a chip and a collar

A dog that was isolated in a salt marsh area, on the Arade river, next to the Railway Bridge, in the municipality of Portimão, was rescued this Monday, November 14th, by the Local Command of the Maritime Police of Portimão. 

The alert was given at 14:55 pm and, upon arrival at the scene, the Maritime Police found that the dog was isolated in a salt marsh area, unable to return to land, having proceeded to rescue the animal using a boat.

The dog, which had a chip and a collar, was transported to the premises of the Maritime Police of Portimão, where it was cleaned and hydrated. Subsequently, the elements of the police delivered the animal to the Official Collection Center of the Municipality of Lagoa.
