Low Creative “offers” the Faro a new piece of urban art

Mural by artist Tom Leamon

A mural by the artist Tom Leamon, painted on a wall in Rua Rebelo da Silva, and carried out as part of the “Baixa Criativa” initiative, is the latest attraction linked to urban art in the city of Faro.

The first edition of “Baixa Criativa” took place on Saturday, November 5, in Faro.

The program included a “TikTok Challenge”, a dance challenge held by “Splash – Escola de Dança”, during the morning, on Rua de Santo António, and a Flash Mob, at 12:00, on Rua Vasco da Gama.

As far as urban art is concerned, in addition to the mural by Tom Leamon, the painting of electricity boxes on the theme Typography, by Xavier Franck, took place.

The initiative also included the activation of the “Lavandaria” Pop-Up store, on Rua Rebelo da Silva, and the “Baixa Criativa” brand in three vacant stores, on Rua de Santo António. It was at the “Lavandaria” that, on Saturday afternoon, there was a gathering with the guest artists and, to close, a party.

The “Creative Baixa” was an initiative of the Associação do Comércio da Baixa de Faro, with the support of the Municipality of Faro and the Union of Parishes of Faro and the partnership between the National Association of Designers, the Pinheiro e Rosa Secondary School, the Splash Dance School and the Gama Rama gallery.
