Albufeira hosts exhibitions for all tastes in November

Some are patent until next year

From “O Morcego Bibliotecário” to “Placing the Points on the Is, in the prevention of the Oceans”, in November, Albufeira will have exhibitions for all tastes. 

Between the 3rd and 29th of this month, the Lídia Jorge Municipal Library will host Paulo Galindo's illustrations based on the creative argument by Cármen Zita Ferreira, “O Morcego Bibliotecário”. The exhibition talks about bats and their ability to capture insects, ensuring the preservation of books from some of the oldest and most relevant Portuguese libraries.

The Municipal Library is open every Monday from 12:00 to 18:30, from Tuesday to Friday from 9:30 to 19:15 and on Saturdays from 10:00 to 16:30.

From the 4th to the 25th of November, the illustration “Putting the Points on the Is, in the prevention of the Oceans”, by Maria Miguel Pereira de Oliveira, curated by João Espada, will be on display at the Pintor Samora Barros Art Gallery. It is an exhibition that seeks to raise awareness of care for the habitats of the oceans and their marine life.

The Gallery is open from Monday to Saturday, from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and from 13:30 pm to 17:30 pm, closed on Sundays and holidays.

At the João Bailote Municipal Gallery, on display until the 26th of November, there will be the painting exhibition “I exist, you exist, we coexist”, by Bruno Ceriz, which is the first solo exhibition by the artist from Albufeira, from Monday to Saturday. , from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and from 13:30 pm to 17:30 pm, closed on Sundays and holidays.

The highlight goes to the photographic exhibition by João Fazenda, with the exhibition “Time Lapses – In the Algarve a Parar o Tempo”, taking place from 9 November to 25 February of the next year at the Municipal Museum of Archeology.

 

 

According to the municipality, the exhibition is filled with “cultural references, in the field of visual arts, not only photography itself, but also painting and literature” and will be open from Tuesday to Sunday, from 9:30 am to 17:30 pm, closing on Monday. -fair.

In the Municipal Archive of Albufeira, the exhibition “Scriptorium Medieval” takes place until the 11th of December, offering a trip to the
Middle Ages, with the exposition of what a scriptorium wanted, a workshop where copyist monks worked, seeking to represent a center for copying manuscripts.

The Archive's Cultural Extension Room is open to the public from Monday to Friday, from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm, and from 13:30 pm to 17:00 pm.

In addition, until the 10th of June of the next year, it takes place at Esplanada Dr. Frutuoso da Silva the photographic exhibition of Artur Pastor “A Different Algarve”. After being on display at Cais Herculano, the exhibition “Dreaming the future”, by the users of CATE – Temporary Emergency Reception Center, will be on display from this Thursday, November 3rd, until the 11th at Guia (Municipal Market), from the 14th to the 21st in Paderne (Parish Council headquarters, room on the 1st floor), from the 23rd to 30th, in Ferreiras (Municipal Market) and in Olhos de Água, from 5 on December 12, in the Exhibition Room – Beach Support).
