Lagos will be the stage for the celebrations of the 10th anniversary of the Sports Training Centers for School Sports, an initiative that will take place on the 23rd and 24th of November and during which the development strategies of this project will be “reflected and aligned”.
The highlight of the celebrations, promoted by the Directorate-General for Education (DGE) and the Directorate-General for School Establishments (DGEste), with the support of Lagos City Council, will be the VII National Meeting of the Project “Sports Training Centers for Sports School (CFDDE)”, which will take place on the 23rd and will include the protocol session commemorating the ten years of the project's creation.
The CFDDE National Meeting aims to «reflect and align the development strategies of this project, as well as to encourage the work and training of teachers involved in CFDDE. The plenary, thematic and technical work sessions involve the 78 Sports Training Centers for School Sports, namely: 64 for water sports (Sailing, Rowing, Canoeing and Surfing) and 14 non-nautical ones (Athletics, Golf and Swimming)», according to Lagos Chamber.
The municipality also highlights the «signature of the protocols that make up the five new school groups, which become part of the CFDDE project, after an application process that took place in July 2022. sports training centers for School Sports existing in the municipality of Lagos».
The Sports Training Centers for School Sports «are of great strategic importance, both in terms of promoting local and regional sports development, in contributing to inclusion and promoting equal opportunities, and in terms of developing practices that promote protection environment and sustainability», concluded the Lacobrigense municipality.
