Rita Redshoes and Peste & Sida perform at the Portimão Municipal Theater

On October 22th and 31th

Rita Redshoes and Peste & Sida will perform at the TEMPO Auditorium – Teatro Municipal de Portimão this month.

On the 22nd of October, starting at 21 pm, “Lado Bom”, the fifth album of originals by Rita Redshoes, will be presented.

The artist is known for her serenity, elegance and her own mystery, which are reflected in this new record, released in October last year, the first entirely written in Portuguese.

“Lado Bom” is admittedly her most intimate record, being defined by the artist as «a survivor, the most personal record of my career, in which I report, in the first person, one of the biggest transformations of life».

With five albums released – “Golden Era” (2008), “Lights & Darks” (2010), “Life is a Second of Love” (2014), “Her” (2016) and now “Lado Bom” (2021) - , Rita Redshoes debuted as a solo artist in 2008 and, as an author and performer, has collaborated with David Fonseca, The Legendary Tigerman, Noiserv, GNR and Fernando Tordo, in addition to participating in numerous award-winning soundtracks for theater and cinema.

On Halloween night, October 31st, also at 21 pm, it is the turn of the band "Peste & Sida" to present the show "Tocar afinado".

The band of João San Payo, João Alves, Sandro Oliveira and Ricardo Barriga, launched in 1986, is a reference in national music, due to themes such as “Sol da Caparica”, “Paulinha”, “Chuta Cavaleiro”, “Gingão” or “Teapot teapot”, among others.

«Since their new work will be released next November, this concert in Portimão will be a unique opportunity for several generations to sing in unison the classics of the band live, and to hear some of the new songs for their debut», says the municipality in note.

Tickets for the Rita Redshoes concert cost 14 euros, while those for Peste & Sida are 10 euros. Both can be purchased at the TEMPO box office, from Tuesday to Saturday, between 13 pm and 00 pm, and on the night of the shows, until the respective start.
