The Castro Marim Municipal Pavilion has new lighting that increases energy efficiency.
With an investment of around 10 thousand euros, the LED luminaires, which were also installed in the municipal gymnasium, «represent a consumption reduction of approximately 60%, translating into an annual savings of around 3 thousand euros, having as a reference the values now practiced», says the municipality, in a press release.
In addition to replacing the luminaires, “twilight switches controlled by remote control were integrated, which allow adjusting the brightness to the conditions of the day and to the different sports modalities”, he adds.
In the same context of optimizing energy consumption, interventions are also planned for the Municipal Swimming Pool and public lighting in some urbanizations in Castro Marim and Altura.
At the same time, Solar Lighting of the Ciclovia da Lezíria will take place, an intervention valued at 310 thousand euros under the PO CRESC Algarve 2020, within the scope of the PADRE action plan, approved for Baixo Guadiana in the READY operation, supported by Portugal and the European Union. , 70% co-financed by the ERDF.
