The Municipal Police Department of Olhão has opened an external entrance examination for admission to the internship of seven municipal police recruits, from the unrevised career of municipal police.
The teams of Municipal Police officers are operating within the scope of their powers, with emphasis on monitoring compliance with municipal regulations, urban planning, traffic, road inspection, administrative offences, crime prevention and proximity policing.
The Municipal Police of Olhão was created on May 7, 2018. It was the first to be created in the Algarve, and one of the first in the country. It is led by the superintendent Isabel Lobo.
