Lagos: woman rescued after accidental fall on cliff next to Canavial beach

A 45-year-old Romanian woman was rescued during the night of this Wednesday, after allegedly having suffered an accidental fall on a cliff next to Canavial beach, in the municipality of Lagos.

According to the National Maritime Authority, the alert was received at around 20:30 pm, through the Regional Command of Emergency and Civil Protection of the Algarve, and elements of the local Command of the Maritime Police of Lagos, the Volunteer Firefighters of Lagos and INEM immediately to the location.

Upon arrival, it was possible to verify that “the victim was in a place of difficult access, presenting a possible fracture in one of the lower limbs, having been rescued by the wide-angle team of the Lagos Volunteer Firefighters”, says the AMN in a note.

The victim was later assisted and transported by INEM elements to a hospital.
