The ban on bathing on Zambujeira do Mar beach, in the municipality of Odemira, was lifted today, after the results of a new analysis of water quality, carried out by the Portuguese Environment Agency (APA), revealed that the microbiological values are within the reference parameters.
The APA reported that the microbiological values of the Zambujeira do Mar beach were normalized, and the water was suitable for bathing.
In view of these results, the APA lifted the ban on going for a swim at Zambujeira do Mar beach, having instructed the Odemira City Council to remove the warnings on the accesses to the beach.
