Between September 2021 and August of this year, 304 activities were carried out, covering 16965 participants, announced the Municipality of Faro, which now takes stock of the Educational Service of the Municipal Library of Faro António Ramos Rosa, within the scope of initiatives for school groups and families.
This service develops dynamics for all age groups, especially for school groups, of which we counted 148 activities for 4272 participants.
Among the various sessions for schools, “Histórias à Solta”, “Discovering the Library”, “Guided Tours”, Reading Club “Reading
Together”, Poetry Wheel “Words to the Wind”.
For families, 148 actions were promoted for 12480 participants. Among the various activities, we highlight “Story Time”, “Stories on the lap”, “Parents and grandparents' club tell stories”, “Family Saturdays”, Reading Club “On Line! With Families and Readings” and “Dressing Stories”, both in online format.
The Holiday Workshops were well attended by the public, with five workshops being held for 54 participants and two more of an intergenerational nature for 21 children and 18 seniors. After two years, FolkFaro was also present at the Library again and was attended by 120 people.
«We bet on bringing in new partners, stimulating diversified themes of daily life as well as making entities of the municipality known, through the project “Quintas de Inclusão”. We intend to continue to meet the expectations of the requests; to meet the needs of the target audiences and, whenever possible, to surpass and innovate the offer to the community», stresses the municipality in a note.
