The “Digital Photography Contest” is back in Lagos, and the photographic works can be sent until the 30th of September based on two themes: “Ecosystem Recovery” and “Water and Sustainability”.

Based on sustainability principles and on the annual “Lagos na Onda do Verão” campaign, this digital photography contest has, according to the municipality, the objectives of «raising awareness in the community for greater involvement and awareness of the natural environment and the dangers that crosses, such as climate change and human intervention harmful to the environment'.

In line with this year's theme of Associação Bandeira Azul, one of the themes of the contest highlights the “Recovery of Ecosystems”, and the photographs must depict beach or coastal scenarios in the municipality of Lagos.

The other focuses on “Water and Sustainability”, given “the context of drought that the country is going through and the urgent need for each of us to do our part”, stresses the municipality in a note. Also in this category, photographs must be taken in the geographical area of Lagos.
