The SOS Nature campaign, by the Ecologist Party Os Verdes, will have several initiatives in the Alentejo and Algarve between the 12th and 16th of July.
The initiative began in March and aims to «remember and alert to the serious environmental problems that our country has been facing for decades with loss of biodiversity, disinvestment in the structures under the responsibility of the Ministry of the Environment, with promises of mitigating Changes Climatic conditions that do not get off the ground, with populations suffering more and more with the disinvestment in the protection and conservation of nature, in agriculture, in mobility, prioritizing the railway, with the lack of inspection, with the destruction of archaeological heritage, with the lack of investment in animal welfare, with little attention to plans for the waterfrontt and to soil preservation», says the Os Verde Party in a press release.
This time, the Campaign reaches the Alentejo and Algarve. The agenda will address problems ranging from forest to the drought situation we are experiencing.
The program will be attended in all initiatives by the leaders of the Executive Committee of the PEV, Tiago Aldeias and Mariana Silva, and with those elected from the Greens, activists, members of the collectives and some friends.
