The book “From Trump to Putin: The War Against Democracy”, by Álvaro Vasconcelos, will be presented next Tuesday, July 26, at 18:30 pm, in the Multipurpose Room of the Municipal Library of Lagoa.
The presentation will be in charge of Teresa de Sousa, journalist of international politics of the newspaper “Público”.
There will be a period of public participation and debate, followed by an autograph session.
In this book, published by Edições Afrontamento, Álvaro Vasconcelos, former director of the Institute for Security Studies of the European Union and columnist for the Público newspaper, addresses and seeks to answer fundamental questions of our time, related to democracy, the rise of different populisms , the present and future of the international order and the role of civil society in the face of successive attacks on democracy.
Admission is free subject to seating capacity.
