ISMAT launches Master in Management and Innovation in Tourism and Hospitality

The Instituto Superior Manuel Teixeira Gomes (ISMAT), in Portimão, opens, in the academic year 2022/2023, the Master in Management and Innovation in Tourism and Hospitality, in the distance learning modality (EAD).

According to a note from this higher education institution, this new master's degree is "the first in the country" to be accredited by the Higher Education Assessment and Accreditation Agency (A3ES) in the areas of Tourism and Hospitality operating in this teaching modality, and results from the association between ISMAT, the Universidade Lusófona de Lisboa (ULHT) and the Universidade Lusófona do Porto (ULP).

The main objective is the «training of professionals in the sector to promote innovation and competitiveness through the development of strategic skills for the creation and implementation of solutions with impact, in response to the new contexts and challenges of today».

«The master's curriculum design is conceived and developed in a modular and articulated way, with regard to the contents, methodologies and teaching and learning activities, aiming at its adaptation to collaborative processes and participation in activities, flexibility in access to resources , without the need for students to travel and looking for a balance between synchronous and asynchronous communication, and the consistency of working methods with the objectives and procedures of learning assessment», explains the ISMAT.

The Master's, accredited for 6 years, reinforces the training and training project in the area of ​​Tourism and Hospitality of Grupo Ensino Lusófona, in which the three Institutions fall, focusing on structuring themes, such as internationalization strategies, digital transformation , investment financial analysis and revenue management, crisis management and marketing.

The course has academic professors and professionals from the sector, of recognized national and international competence.
