The Artistic Cultural Association of Tavira (ACAT) promotes the “Workshops with Life” – Free Time Activities, for the next school year, for which registration is now open.
The activities are aimed at children in the 1st cycle of basic education in the municipality of Tavira and will take place from Monday to Friday, from 15 pm to 00 pm, and during school breaks the project will also work in the morning.
«In this project, children will have guidance in carrying out homework, they will have the opportunity to carry out fun experiments, small dramatizations, crafts, plastic arts, various games, among other activities that encourage their creativity and a good interpersonal relationship», explains the ACAT in a press release.
This initiative is carried out within the scope of the “Intervention / Personal and Social Development and Prevention of School Dropout” axis of the project “TAVIANIMA – Formar Gerações – Capacitar para Des-Envolver”, promoted by this Association, with the support of the Municipality of Tavira and co-financed by the Regional Operational Program CRESC ALGARVE 2020.
«With this project, ACAT intends to make its contribution and add value to the social responses to be made available in the municipality of Tavira. It is intended to allow a better balance between work, family and parents' leisure, contributing, at the same time, to a healthy growth of children», says the ACAT.
Most activities take place at the ACAT headquarters, at Rua Tenente Coronel Melo Antunes, n.º 1 B r/c 8800-687 in Tavira.
