Portimão Chamber website is the only municipal domain in the country to comply with all cybersecurity standards

The Municipality of Portimão has just been highlighted by the Observatório de Tecnologias da Internet Portuguesa for being the only one in the country to fully comply with all the recommendations in terms of standards and protocols related to digital security on the servers of internet pages and e-mail. .

The Portuguese Internet Technologies Observatory, recently developed by the Portuguese Chapter of the Internet Society, and updated monthly, has as its main objective «contributing so that the country can match what is best done in the world in terms of security».

«The new Observatory surveys the level of adoption of security standards, and not only, of more than 1300 Portuguese domains, listing a list of honor that includes public entities, associations and companies, from which the Municipality of Portimão stands out (cm-portimao.pt)», says the municipality in a statement.

According to the Municipality, an effort has been made to “ensure a high degree of protection for information systems against the various cyber threats that have multiplied in recent times, such as ransomware, phishing, DDoS attacks, etc”.

«The Municipality of Portimão will continue its commitment to cybersecurity, promoting awareness and training of its technicians, with the aim of remaining a national reference in this area», he concludes.
