Moncarapachense will play at Olhanense’s “house” in Liga 3

Moncarapachense is the only Algarve club in Liga 3

The Moncarapachense, who debuts in League 3 this season, will have to play at Estádio José Arcanjo, in Olhão.

Confirmation has been given to the Sul Informação by Nemésio Martins, president of Moncarapachense.

According to this official, "it was not possible to find a solution" that would allow the Algarve team to play in Moncarapacho, since League 3 requires clubs to play matches on grass.

On the table, there was even the possibility of putting grass on the current synthetic field, but that would force the construction of a new synthetic for Moncarapachense's formation levels.

According to Nemésio Martins, «the Municipal Master Plan of Olhão did not allow» this outcome.

As for the José Arcanjo Stadium, it also needs some works, namely in terms of lighting and painting, which will be funded by both the Câmara de Olhão and the Portuguese Football Federation.

Moncarapachense, the only Algarve club in Liga 3 and which will be coached by Luís Manuel, will train at Estádio Dr. António José Eusébio, in Moncarapacho, in the Colina Verde Sports Resort field, in Maragota, and also in José Arcanjo.
