Spanish elderly man injured in collision of two boats in Culatra

Man was transported to the Hospital of Faro

An elderly 75-year-old Spanish man was injured after the collision between two pleasure boats this morning, 27 June, near the fishing port of the island of Culatra, in Faro. 

The alert was received at 9:30 am, and elements of the Local Command of the Olhão Maritime Police and a vessel from the Olhão Lifeguard Station, with elements of the Volunteer Firefighters of Olhão, were immediately activated to the scene. Faro a bank.

The elderly Spaniard was left with "light injuries and some bruises on his body, having been rescued by the crew of the Lifeguard Station and assisted by the Volunteer Firefighters of Faro until arrival at the Olhão Lifeguard Station'.

Then he was transported to the Hospital of Faro.

The two crew members of the second pleasure boat, as they were in good physical condition and did not need medical assistance, ended up leaving the place by their own means.
