A 26-year-old man was arrested this Monday, May 30, for illegal possession of a weapon and possession of a prohibited weapon, in the municipality of Albufeira, by the Territorial Post of Olhos de Água.
The arrest took place following a road inspection action, in which the military identified "suspicious behavior" on the part of the man who was later arrested.
"During the police investigations, it was possible to determine that the individual was in possession of a firearm and two bladed weapons, one of them a butterfly knife, which led to his arrest in the act and the seizure of the weapon", he says. the Territorial Command of Faro from the GNR in a statement.
The detainee was made an accused and the facts were reported to the Albufeira Judicial Court.
