The third edition of “Re-Fluxus”, a cycle of Performances and Installations, promoted by ArQuente – Associação Cultural, starts this Saturday, May 28, at 20:00 pm, with the performance 'Leva-me ao Céu', with artistic direction by Carolina corner.
The show was also created to debut at Motus – International Festival of Performance Art of Faro, an initiative of Teatro das Figuras. The play takes place on the roof terrace of the Teatro das Figuras.
'Leva-me ao Céu' has support for the creation of the Teatro das Figuras, in the Municipality of Faro and the Regional Directorate of Culture of the Algarve.
The “Re-Fluxus” then extends until June. On the 10th and 11th, other artistic projects will be presented, but in online format, on ArQuente's YouTube, between 21:00 pm and 22:30 pm.
In all, eight performance moments will be shown, four per day, by different artists who accepted the challenge proposed by ArQuente. The works, of short duration, have different themes and are a reflection of the creative freedom of the invited artists.
“There is no defined theme. The idea is that each one expresses what they feel the need to express. This freedom results in a cycle of great artistic and aesthetic richness, which promises to surprise from start to finish», refers the cultural association.
On Friday, June 10th, the doors of ArQuente will open, at the ARCO Gallery in Faro, for those who want to watch the first day of the cycle as a group and discuss the format online. Anyone who accepts to participate in this moment of sharing, which can also be considered a performance, only has to bring their own laptop and watch alone, but accompanied, the first creations of the show.
The third edition of “Re-Fluxus” can be seen on ArQuente's Youtube at the appointed time, through the links available shortly on the association's Facebook and Instagram pages, where the complete program will also be available. The access is open and free.
The title of this cycle is inspired by the Fluxus Movement that marked the arts of the 1960s and 1970s and that valued collective creation through the integration of different languages, such as music, cinema and dance, manifesting itself mainly through performances, happenings, installations, among other innovative supports.
