The Parish Council of Quarteira will celebrate City Day with a program of celebrations that will take place next Friday, May 13th.
The celebrations begin at 9:00 am with the raising of the flag, next to the Municipal Center Building, with the graduation of the Municipal Firefighters of Loulé.
At 10:00 am, the protocol session of the City Day begins, in the Auditorium of the Centro Autárquico. At 11:30 am, the celebrations continue with a visit to the new socio-cultural and knowledge-sharing spaces, on Rua Dr. Jose Pedro.
Finally, the 23rd Anniversary of the Elevation of Quarteira to the City will culminate at 18:30, with a conference, in the Auditorium of the Municipality Center, dedicated to the 1st anniversary of the Exhibition “Com os Pés na Terra e as Mãos no Mar – 6000 years of Quarteira History” ”, with the presence of Rui Parreira, Archaeologist and General Commissioner of this exhibition, to talk about the theme “The first settlers of the territory of Quarteira”.
The event is organized by the Parish Council of Quarteira, in collaboration with the Municipality of Loulé.
