The Formula Windsurfing Continental Championship takes place from the 1st to the 5th of June, in Ferragudo (Lagoa).
Praia Grande will attend, for the first time, a competition of this dimension, where more than 20 competitors of different nationalities and ages will be present.
The Parish Council of Ferragudo welcomes the enhancement of Praia Grande as a sports space of excellence, not only in its sea plan, but also on land, «where it expects to see the implementation of more sports equipment soon».
Luís Alberto, president of the Parish Council, recalls that this empowerment of Praia Grande began many years ago, «having been windsurfing one of the first sports practiced, at a private level, soon followed by public support for footvolley, swimming, sailing and canoeing events. ».
