After two years of suspension, the Concurso Arte Doce Fair returns between the 27th and 31st of July, at the Lagos Sports Complex.
This is the 33rd edition of one of the biggest gastronomic events in the Algarve, which, this year, will feature news, and will be «the biggest Art Desserts ever".
«One of the novelties is presented at this stage, with a new website fully dedicated to the event and where you can sign up quickly and conveniently in the following categories – Handicrafts, Tasquinhas, Food Products and Sweets, the latter with the right to prizes», explains the Municipality of Lagos in a statement.
Taking advantage of the celebrations for the arrival of the train in Lagos, which took place in the same week, this will be the theme of the 33rd edition, with the region of Estremadura also being invited to be present.
The Arte Doce Fair will also host concerts by Rui Veloso (27th), Gabriel, o Pensador (28th), Dillaz (29th), Bárbara Bandeira (30th) and Mariza (31st). However, according to the Municipality of Lagos, the creativity of the confectioners and confectioners continues to be the central point of this event.
Confectionery participants will have the opportunity to compete in this year's four categories - "Free Theme", "Mandatory Theme" (Centennial of the arrival of the train to Lagos), "Quality in Tradition" (Doce Fino, Dom Rodrigo, Morgado and Doce Figo) and “Candy of Innovation”.
Anyone who wants to participate can register until June 30 at new website of the Arte Doce Fair (Artesanato”, “Tasquinhas”, “Food Products” and “Candy Shops”).
