Algarve IT companies challenged to participate in mission to Silicon Valley

The action is promoted by ANJE

Algarve technology entrepreneurs are being challenged to participate in a business mission to Silicon Valley, in San Francisco, in the United States of America, between the 28th of June and the 1st of July, whose aim is to «leverage the internationalization of companies of the IT sector».

Companies that join this initiative, framed in the Next Step project of the National Association of Young Entrepreneurs (ANJE), will have 50% of the costs financed.

Interested parties should register by sending an email to [email protected] until the 31st of May. The conditions and other information can be obtained through the Next Step website.

The business mission will complement the International Roadshow for the enhancement and dynamization of the Entrepreneurial Ecosystem that will take place within the scope of RESTART, another project financed by European funds.

In the latter case, it is a partnership between the University of the Algarve, through its Division of Entrepreneurship and Technology Transfer (CRIA), by the Business Association of the Algarve Region (NERA), and by ANJE, co-financed through the Operational Program CRESC Algarve2020.

«This action will allow the consolidation of a structured entrepreneurial ecosystem, with a positive impact on the regional economy and its actors», defended CRIA.

Within the scope of RESTART «four trips/roadshows are planned outside the country», more precisely one trip to a European country and the rest outside Europe.

In the first action, a representative of ANJE and a representative of UAlg will participate, as well as a representative of the municipality of Faro, who decided to participate in the initiative «given the importance of the mission».

«In this way we will be able to consolidate both initiatives for greater representation and dissemination of companies in the Algarve», concluded ANJE.
