Álvaro Araújo was part of the ANMP delegation that visited FPF

Fernando Gomes, president of the FPF, presented to the ANMP the strategic plan of the Portuguese Football Federation

Álvaro Araújo, mayor of Vila Real de Santo António and vice-president of the National Association of Portuguese Municipalities (ANMP), visited the City of Football, in Oeiras, and met with Fernando Gomes, leader of the Portuguese Football Federation , announced the Algarve municipality this Tuesday, 9 May.

During this initiative, the FPF, directed by Fernando Gomes, presented the entity's strategic plan to the ANMP.

Called “Football 2030”, the document is the result of a reflection prepared together with the members and partners of the Portuguese Football Federation. It also sets goals for the decade and includes several transformation and evolution programs that will begin to be implemented as of this week.

At this meeting, talks were also initiated to establish a program with the municipalities to promote and monitor School Sports in pre-school and 1st cycle.

According to Álvaro Araújo, this partnership «will bring a set of added value to the schools in the county, valuing the quality of teaching and diversifying the educational and sports offer of the municipality of VRSA».
