VRSA already has structure to accommodate 18 Ukrainian refugees

The unit is headquartered at the Santa Casa da Misericórdia de VRSA

Vila Real de Santo António now has a Collective Reception Structure available for 18 Ukrainian refugees, announced this Friday, April 1, the City Council. 

The Social Security Institute, IP and the Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Vila Real de Santo António signed, this Thursday, a protocol for the creation of this structure.

The unit is headquartered at the Santa Casa da Misericórdia de VRSA and has a capacity for 18 users. It will be in operation until the 15th of June, and its activity may be renewed for equal periods of three months.

With this social response, says the VRSA Chamber, “the necessary conditions are guaranteed to welcome Ukrainian citizens and their families, providing accommodation, food and immediate psychosocial support”.

On the other hand, the provision of information and the connection with the competent services will be ensured.
