The Monumental Opening Serenade of the 35th Academic Week of the Algarve takes place this Thursday, April 28, at 23:59 pm, at Largo da Sé Catedral de Faro, and, for the first time, has a female voice.
«As Canção de Coimbra is a conservative cultural area, this is a symbolic moment that will mark this year's festivities», says the In Versus Fado in a statement.
Taking into account the interest that academic serenades arouse in the student public (and not only), similar to what happens in Coimbra, the Academic Association of the University of the Algarve once again invited the group In Versus that has been interpreting this musical genre since 1999 in the Algarve .
The event brings together students, family and friends again at Largo da Sé Catedral de Faro after a two-year break in which the Serenade was broadcast online from the Grand Auditorium on the Gambelas campus.
