Lagoa will celebrate Holy Week with a “Lent Concert” on the 9th of April, starting at 17:00, at the Igreja da Misericórdia.
The show will feature Salomé Matias, on flute, and Tiago Santos, on clarinet, and is composed of movements and excerpts from oratories, sung songs, operas and other sacred works by composers such as Johann Sebastian Bach, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Hector Berlioz and Anton Brucker, among others.
This event comes from a partnership between the Municipality of Lagoa, Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lagoa and Ideias do Levante – Associação Cultural de Lagoa, with the aim of promoting the religious artistic heritage of the municipality of Lagoa, and making known the spaces religious, artists, instruments and works by Portuguese and foreign composers.
