The book “Por este mar adentro”, by Maria da Graça A. Mateus Ventura, will be presented this Saturday, April 30, at 18 pm, at Casa do Meio-Dia, in Loulé, by Ana Isabel Soares.
“Por Este Mar Adentro” recovers the life paths of the protagonists of the XNUMXth century migratory flow and historically resituates the Algarve in the economic dynamics of the Atlantic area.
Maria da Graça A. Mateus Ventura, responsible for the presentation of the book, holds a PhD in Letters from the University of Lisbon, a researcher integrated in the History Center of the same university, an associate researcher at CHAM — Center for Humanities of the Universidade Nova de Lisboa, a member of the Asociación Española de Americanistas and the Association of European Latin American Historians.
The presentation of the book takes place as part of a joint initiative by the Municipality of Loulé and Sul, Sol e Sal –Editors.
