Algarve Union of Trade Unions promotes Equality Week in Faro

The Algarve Union of Trade Unions/CGTP-IN and the Commission for Equality between Women and Men – CIMH/CGTP-IN will promote the 9th edition of the Equality Week, between 7 and 11 March, in Faro. The initiative, with the motto “Equality must exist, for the country to evolve”, also marks the International Day of Working Women (8 March).

This Monday, at João de Deus School Faro, there will be a press conference at 9:30 am, with the presence of the national coordinator of the CIMH/CGTP.

Starting at 10:00 am, there will be a thematic debate with the screening of a film and the participation of students from the Citizenship discipline, on the themes Equality in access to employment; Wage inequality; Maternity and Paternity; Reconciliation of work with personal and family life; Labor harassment; Occupational diseases of women; Combating violence at work and in life, with real testimonies from workers.

On March 8, at 10 am, there will be a Public Tribune, next to CCDR Algarve, where delegates, union leaders and workers are expected to participate.
