restaurants of Faro host Quinzena da Gastronomia Algarvia

Dishes based on products from the region, such as razor clams, clams, tuna, octopus, fish or sweet potatoes from Aljezur, typical dishes from the mountains and regional sweets can be found at Quinzena da Gastronomia Algarvia, which Parish Union of Faro (UFF) will promote from tomorrow, the 18th, until the 3rd of April, in ten restaurants in the city.

«During this period, lovers of regional cuisine will be able to taste, in participating restaurants, different dishes characteristic of the region, from the starter, to the main course and desserts where local and seasonal products will be highlighted», according to the municipality of Faro.

All this at a discount, as participating restaurants «will guarantee a global discount of 17% on the menu price on the proposed menus».

«This initiative aims to promote and disseminate regional gastronomy as a cultural heritage and tourist product, based on traditional cuisine and the Mediterranean diet», concludes the União de Freguesias de Faro.
