Gil do Carmo, son of Carlos do Carmo, will give a concert on the 23rd of April, starting at 19 pm, in Lagoa, where he will celebrate his father's career.
Carlos do Carmo marked not only the history of fado and Portuguese music, but also the history of Lagoa, as since 2018 the city’s Municipal Auditorium, where the concert will take place, bears his name.
This will thus be «a tribute show by the Municipality and the people of Lagoa, to the man and the singer», says the City Council.
Some of the most emblematic songs by the Portuguese fado singer who died in 2021 will be performed by Gil do Carmo, his youngest son and the only one who followed in his footsteps in his artistic career.
The concert also counts with the participation of Luis Mira and CAB Ballet.
Tickets cost 8 euros (20% discount with cultural passport, Lagoa Social card or Rota do Petisco 2021 Passport, available at the ticket offices in the Municipality of Lagoa) and are now on sale here
Tickets can also be purchased at the ticket offices of Fnac, Worten, Auditorium Carlos do Carmo, Centro Cultural Convento de S. José and Balcão Único of the Municipality of Lagoa.
