Portimonense drew 1-1 with Santa Clara, in a game of strong emotions to count for the I Liga championship, played this Monday, February 21st, in the Azores.

The start of the match was marked by balance, with both teams showing that they were committed to reaching the advantage, although without creating opportunities for great danger.

In the 31st minute, Nakajima shot in a cross, but the ball didn't come out of the box with the goal. Shortly after, Santa Clara's Cryzan put the Portimonense goalkeeper to the test, scoring a free-kick, but Samuel Portugal avoided the goal.

However, in the next minute, in the 43rd minute, Lincoln ended up scoring for the home team, after a great pass from Ricardinho.

It was 1-0, right on the brink of half-time.

In the second half, both teams continued looking for the goal and managed to create a lot of danger, especially the home team, who threw two balls at the post.

But it would be Portimonense to restore equality, at 80 minutes. Nakajima, with a master pass, put in Moufi who, isolated in the small area, headed for 1-1.

Until the end, the game accelerated, with both teams being very close to the goal, especially the Algarve, who saw Angulo hitting the Azoreans' post in added time.

Even so, the void remained until the final whistle.

With this result, Portimonense now has 28 points and remains in 9th position, with the same points as Marítimo, when 23 I Liga matches have been played.

The Portimão team has not won for nine games.
