Filipe da Palma exhibits “A Chaminé Algarvia” in Loulé

The photographic exhibition “A Chaminé Algarvia”, by Filipe da Palma, will be on view until March 31, at Palácio Gama Lobo, in Loulé. 

«The Algarve chimney is one of the most striking and identifying aspects of regional architecture, presenting itself as the hallmark of the Algarve. There are for all tastes, in an exuberance of shapes and colors. Most resemble minarets or small turrets and transport our imagination to the distant past of the Arab occupation», says the Câmara de Loulé.

The exhibition also includes a set of miniature clay molds and chimneys by the famous clay master Eduardo Jacinto dos Santos (1915-1990), born in Loulé, whose pieces are part of the collection of the Loulé Municipal Museum and represent existing real models. in the city, many of them already disappeared.

This initiative can be visited from Monday to Friday at the following hours: 9:00 am to 13:00 pm and from 14:00 pm to 18:00 pm and on Saturdays from 9:00 am to 13:00 pm.

Admission is free.
