CAMADA takes “Carnival of the Animals” to the Pedro Ruivo Auditorium

Tickets cost 7,5 euros

A CAMADA – Centro Choreográfico will present the show “Carnaval dos Animais” this Saturday, February 26, at 21:00 pm, at the Pedro Ruivo Auditorium, in Faro.

This creation «celebrates Carnival, embodying all the biodiversity present in Saint-Saëns' musical work, and commemorates the centenary of the composer's death».

This famous 14-movement suite was first presented on March 9, 1886, Shrove Tuesday, in Paris.

With choreography by Carolina Cantinho, Margarida Cantinho and Maria Dias, and interpretation by the students and teachers of CAMADA Formação, this show is aimed at the whole family.

In the words of Carolina Cantinho, artistic director, «Carnaval dos Animais is a musical work that I always wanted to choreograph for its quality. Now, the opportunity has arisen to fulfill this wish, and it is also a way to celebrate a festive season that we have been looking forward to for two years, Carnival».

Tickets cost 7,5 euros and can be purchased here
