The elements of the local Command of the Maritime Police of Faro carried out yesterday, the 11th, an inspection aimed at capturing bivalves in the Ria Formosa, in Faro, which resulted in the seizure of 150 kilos of cockles.
During this action, two individuals who were unloading the bivalves in the area of the beach of Faro, without proper documentation and license to practice this fishing activity.
The respective report was prepared and the 150 kg of cockles were seized, which, as they are still alive, were returned to their natural habitat, the waters of the estuary.
