Loulé participates in the webinar “Best Conciliation Practices in Municipalities”

Initiative will take place this Friday, January 21st, through the Zoom platform

This Friday, January 21, at 14:30 pm, the partnership of the project “Rede de Autarquias para a Igualdade” will promote the webinar “Good Conciliation Practices in Municipalities”, through the Zoom platform, in which the municipality of Loulé will participate.

This initiative is part of the “2nd Sharing/Reflection Meeting on Equality between Women and Men and Reconciliation of Professional, Family and Personal Life”, with the municipality of Loulé being invited to present “on the webinar good practices for reconciling professional life , family and staff who developed and implemented».

The councilor Marilyn Zacarias will represent the Chamber of Loulé, who will present "some measures that are being developed within the scope of the Conciliation Management System and that have provided, in addition to better conciliation, healthy habits in the workplace, healthy lifestyles, job satisfaction and motivation, recognition and support for workers and support for informal caregivers, social and environmental responsibility”.

In recognition of its commitment to this issue, the Loulé City Council adhered on 7 February 2019 to the Pact for Conciliation as part of the Government’s “Program 3 in Line – Program for the Conciliation of Professional, Personal and Family Life”, having, As a result of the good working practices implemented, on September 1, 2020, certification was obtained under Portuguese Standard 4552:2016 – Management System for the Reconciliation of Professional, Family and Personal Life.

This webinar will be attended by the Secretary of State for Citizenship and Equality Rosa Monteiro, at the opening session, and by the president of the Commission for Citizenship and Gender Equality, Sandra Ribeiro, at the closing session.

The project “Autarchies Network for Equality” is promoted by the Question of Equality – Association for Social Innovation, in partnership with the municipalities of Aljezur, Amadora, Cascais, Loulé, Mangualde, Odemira, Palmela, Póvoa de Lanhoso and Vila Nova de Gaia, and the Center For Gender and Equality at the University of Adger, Norway.

This project aims to «promote networking, stimulating dialogue about equality between women and men and the conciliation between professional, family and personal life, based on the creation of a “Network of Municipalities”, with national scope and work recognized in this area that, together, propose to test instruments and methodologies already validated, with a view to creating innovative positive action measures that can be incorporated by other municipalities in the country».

The project is funded by the EEA GRANTS, under the Gender Conciliation and Equality Program, Open Call#5 – “Projects for the Promotion of Equality between Women and Men at the local level”, managed by the Commission for Citizenship and Gender Equality – CIG.
