PS candidates to the Legislatures visit schools in the Algarve

Visits were made to schools in Quarteira, São Brás de Alportel, Faro, Silves, Lakes, Monte Gordo – Vila Real de Santo António, Albufeira, Tavira and Portimão

The candidates of the Socialist Party (PS) to the Legislative 2022 of 30 January visited, on the morning of this Tuesday, 11 January, a group of schools in the Algarve, having found «an atmosphere of tranquility, trust and great joy for returning to school. ».

According to PS Algarve, Jamila Madeira thanked the school community and the professionals of the National Health Service (SNS), «the example we all set in the fight against the pandemic and in the gradual return to our lives».

The head of the PS list for the Algarve underlines that, in the last six years, «the Government of António Costa has invested in the region around 27 million euros in works for the rehabilitation and modernization of the Parque Escolar, including the construction of new schools».

Also during the last two years of the pandemic, “the Government has already distributed 33 computer equipment” to schools in the region, “improving the quality of public schools and ensuring that no student is left behind”.

The PS candidates will be on the morning of this Tuesday, January 11, in schools in Quarteira, São Brás de Alportel, Faro, Silves, Lakes, Monte Gordo – Vila Real de Santo António, Albufeira, Tavira and Portimão.
