Silves: Reis Magos made of cork show that it can be “Re-used at Christmas”

There are eight sets to see in as many places in the county

Eight sets of Reis Magos made from reused cork stoppers will liven up the Christmas season in different locations in the municipality of Silves.

The 24 figures were created within the scope of the “Re-utilizar no Natal” project, launched by the municipality and which involved Lifelong Education Poles.

«Users of the council's six Education Poles and residents of Azilheira participated in this challenge – both in the collection and reuse of materials to recreate the figures – and the entire community joined this initiative, with the supply of cork stoppers. », according to the council of Silves.

Reis Magos can be visited in Silves (in front of the Paços do Concelho building), Alcantarilha (in the square of the Parish Council), Algoz (on the N264, next to the Kindergarten), Armação de Pêra (in the square of the Igreja Matriz) , Pêra (next to the pharmacy), São Bartolomeu de Messines (in the municipal garden), S. Marcos da Serra (in the Church square) and Tunes (in front of the Parish Council).
