Farense lost 2-1 against Desportivo de Chaves, in a game for the 15th round of the II Football League, played this Saturday, December 18, in Trás-os-Montes.

The first goal of the match came in the 18th minute.

João Teixeira, trained at Benfica and one of the best players at Chaves, received a ball on the edge of the area, took two opponents out of the way and shot close to the post, with no chance for Ricardo Velho.

Shortly thereafter, Chaves increased the advantage, in a tense cross by Nuno Campos that found Platiny inside the area (25′).

Losing by two and without Elves Baldé on the field, who left through injury, Farense knew how to react to the misfortune.

The Algarvians had more ball, appeared well in attack, but without being able to materialize that superiority with opportunities – and, more importantly, goals.

In the second half, the same tone was maintained: Farense even dominated, but without scoring… In the 72nd minute, the Algarvian team asked for a penalty, by Nuno Campos, but the referee ordered it to play.

At 82′, Paulo Vítor saved a dangerous header by Eduardo Mancha.

In added time, at 90+2′, Farense reduced, after a deflection of Robson's head, with the Chaves goalkeeper looking bad in the photo.

With this defeat, the Algarvians have the same 14 points and are in 15th position.
