Erasmus+ takes students and teachers from Olhão to Turkey

Within the scope of the “Eco Life In Eco Environment for European Citizens” project

Students and teachers from the Dr. Francisco Fernando Lopes School Group, from Olhão, were last week in Kayseri, Turkey, to participate in the second mobility action of the project “Eco Life In Eco Environment for European Citizens”, under the Program Erasmus+.

The delegation from Olhão joined students and teachers from Spain, Greece, Romania and Turkey, and «had the opportunity to actively participate in thematic workshops (indoor and outdoor) that contributed to a greater awareness of environmental problems and greater reflection on individual actions that could alleviate global problems», according to professors Óscar ribeiro and Leonor Faustino, who coordinated the trip to Turkey.

«The present mobility also served for students to make known, across borders, the municipality of Olhão and the Algarve region, as well as to make contact with a new culture and to develop skills in citizen science, linguistics at the level of the English language, among others», they conclude.
