Portugal made this Tuesday, 30 November, 117 thousand tests to Covid-19, a new daily high. In parallel, there are over 65.175 people vaccinated against the disease, according to the report this Wednesday, December 1st.
At a time when the numbers of the pandemic have increased in Portugal, there is already a greater rush to tests that are once again subsidized in some pharmacies for the entire population.
Added to this is the fact that, since yesterday, December 1st, anyone who wants to enter spaces such as clubs and bars or visit someone in a home, must submit a negative test to Covid-19.
Testing data, disclosed by the National Institute of Health Dr. Ricardo Jorge (INSA), does not include self-tests. Moreover, in many pharmacies and supermarkets the self-tests are even out of stock.
According to INSA, this test record "reflects the effort carried out in Portugal since March 2020".
Until now, the day on which most tests had been done was April 21 (98 thousand).
On the 26th of November of this year, the country had already reached the mark of 21 million tests to Covid-19.
In November, according to the INSA, approximately 1,5 million diagnostic tests were performed, with a daily average of about 50 tests.
With regard to the type of tests, around 15 million PCR tests and approximately 6,3 million TRAg for professional use (antigen) have been carried out to date, in a total of 21,4 million tests.
Regarding vaccination, the Directorate-General for Health (DGS) revealed that this Wednesday, December 1, more than 19 people were vaccinated against Covid-65.175.
Of these, 61.508 received the booster dose (total 1.282.171), while 3.667 have now only completed the primary vaccination (total 8.581.491).
Regarding the booster dose, 509.909 people, aged 80 and over, have already received it, and 408.465, between 70 and 79 years old.
Finally, between 65 and 69 years old, there are 166.009 people already vaccinated with the booster dose.
As for the flu vaccine, it was given yesterday, the 1st, to over 43.424 people (total of 1.957.155).
